UPMC Outpatient Center – Ebensburg
UPMC
Ebensburg, PA - New Construction – 46,000 sq/ft - $13.5 Million
CORE Architects was the Design Architect for a new 46,000 GSF Medical Office building in Ebensburg, PA for UPMC. The building is a multi-service healthcare delivery center that provides satellite services out of UPMC Altoona Hospital, featuring an FQHC (Federally Qualified Healthcare Center) Primary Care practice, a Radiology Suite, rotating Specialists offices, a 340B Pharmacy, and a Physical Therapy practice.
The FQHC is operated by Primary Health Network. The remaining practices are operated by UPMC.
The 3-story building was constructed using a modular Steel Thermal Efficient Panel System, while the shell and core is a prototype medical office building concept developed by CORE Architects for low-cost adaption to a variety of site locations in rural and underserved communities. The site was master planned around multiple poor soils and environmental site conditions, including pyrite and numerous wetlands. A future Phase II of the development includes a 15,000 GSF outpatient surgery center.
