CORE Architects was the Design Architect for a new 46,000 GSF Medical Office building in Lewistown, PA for Keystone Healthcare Development Co. (KHDC). KHDC is a non-profit developer that developed the building as an operational partnership between Primary Healthcare Network (PHN) and Geisinger Health System. Primary Health Network is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC), providing Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Dental, and 340B Pharmacy Services out of the building. Additionally, Geisinger operates a Life Services program on the entire second floor of the building. The 3-story building was constructed using a modular Steel Thermal Efficient Panel System for the exterior walls. Both the building's shell and core emerge from the second iteration of a prototype medical office building concept developed by CORE Architects for low cost adaption to a variety of site locations in rural and underserved communities.  This prototype can be developed at variable costs, ranging between $200-$300 per square foot, depending on programming, finishes, and adaption costs.
