Core Principal Matthew Pfennig was a member of the Design and Construction Management team of the project while at WTW Architects. The entrance to Peters Township Community Center is located on a prominent hillside flanking the entrance to Peters Woods Community Park. Peters Township Community Recreation Center facilitates a community atmosphere, promotes recreational and cultural events, and creates/coordinates meeting space, programs, and services that reflect the community's diversity. At 37,000 sq. ft. the project was completed in July 2004..

 

The crowning jewel of the center is the gymnasium that holds two basketball courts, a suspended track, a large projection screen for movies, and a portable stage for special events, concerts, and large banquets. The facility includs two-story lobby with a centrally located control desk, administration offices, conference room, large multi-purpose room with adjacent kitchen, youth room, exercise studio, and concession area. The second floor, adjacent to the track, features an exercise area with spectacular views of the building activities and park beyond.
